Over the years, we have offered active support to numerous local community projects, and this month a school close to our Chislehurst & Bromley office came to our attention. We were alerted via social media that Chislehurst Girls School Eco Committee and Science Team had ambitious plans that required funding.
The school’s Science Quad and surrounding area needed improvement to become a more tranquil space for students and staff. The school greeted our initial offer to make a small financial donation enthusiastically. They also elaborated that a greenhouse would be central and intrinsic to the plan’s success.
Growth and learning are always to be encouraged, and with our new knowledge, we grew our contribution and donated a brand-new greenhouse to the school. Now proudly in situ, the area is taking shape as the calm and relaxing space that the Science Team set out to create.
Of course, we wish the school every success with the ongoing project, and we are delighted to have been involved in its fruition. Furthermore, we sincerely hope that the greenhouse proves to be a fertile environment for growing plants, flowers, and knowledge. “From a small seed, a mighty trunk may grow” - Aeschylus.
